Happy Birthday Walter

Oh the joys of being two!

Walter had been staying at his aunt Jaymies for the weekend before his birthday because of Allis being sick.  The morning of his birthday I met Tyler in Fort Collins to bring him home.  This made me so happy I was truly afraid he would have to be away for both his Birthday and Christmas.  I had these balloons waiting for him when we got home and they were a huge hit! He played and played with them. The last one just died yesterday:)
Walter is really adjusting to his sister being here and has started showing a little interest in her, before he would act like she didnt' even exist.  The way he reacted was by a major increase of temper tantrums over anything.  Now I can occasionally find him sneaking her kisses.
Walter's personality is shining through more and more each day.He is trying so hard to talk and is learning a ton each day. Right now he is stuck on saying "Way Cool"  He is learning his animal sounds and the other night we were practicing when sissy pooped very noisly.  So Walter said, "sissy" and then made a farting/pooping noise.  SO now we ask what does a cow say he responds "moo" and so on through the animals and everytime you ask what a sissy says we get the same farting(with a lifted leg) noise.  Very FUNNY!
Walter is still attached to his blankie or "NIE" he rarely sucks his thumb now and it is only when he has nie and is tired. Walter is starting to pick his own movies and is currently set on Monsters vs. Aliens He loves riding his new balance bike and is quite good on it.  Legos are a huge hit right now along with some cardboard bricks.  Tower after Tower is built.  He loves riding his stick horse and especially when his daddy will join him running up and down the hall! Walter is still very attached to his daddy, it is now not at the obsessive level it was last summer but just a healthy amount of a little boy who has a wonderful daddy who takes lots of time to play with him and make Walter feel very loved.  Walter still has a large love for books.  His favorite pastime with his mom is for me to read to him.  He is really into the book "No jumping on the bed" about a boy named Walter.  He received it from his aunt Jaymie and her family. Walter is a normal two year old who loves to copy everything and anything someone does or says:) Walter is an excellent eater and a pretty good sleeper. He still likes me to rock him for his naps, but goes in at nighttime and puts himself to sleep. Right now he loves telling stories.  He walks up and jabbers away with a few recognizable words, and just goes on like you know exactly what he is saying. He usually concludes with laughing out loud:) His imagination is starting to bud and he nurtures it by pretending to be a puppy.  Not the fun loving kind , he crawls around growling.  But my favorite thing Walter does is Respond "I love you too" When I tell him I love him, that "too" goes straight to the heart everytime.Walter we love you very much and I am so grateful I get to call you mine Love ya Little Britches:)

Walter weighed in at 31 pounds and is 36.5 inches long!
