Walter is a walking baby

Yesterday walter finally decided that he could walk! I have been so impatient about this,i honestly thought he was going to walk months ago! It has been a little over a month since he took his first steps, and he has loved cruising on his walker. And he has been really content to stay at that stage. Yesterday after his nap I seen him using his helicopter toy to stand up on and then he would pick it up and stand holding it. He did it over and over. I was surprised to see this because he never went through the stage of letting go of the furniture and standing on his own for a few seconds, he could do it but only when he did it without realizing it and he would hurry and sit down. Anyways he did that for awhile yesterday, and all the sudden he was trying to carry the helicopter.after a few good crashes he have up on that and was taking steps from one object to another. This wasnt anything new but he had never had the desire to challenge himself to do it. He kept it up all day getting braver and going further. When jason got home he would have walter walk to him and he would back up and walter would go after him, they did this up and down the hall.By last night he walked from the living room to the kitchen all by himself. It honestly felt like he started walking in one day. As soon as he put his mind to it, it was no big deal. So now we are on to the next stage of keeping up with him. And I am so thankful to have the thumb he sucks on up off the floor!
