Denver Stock Show

On Saturday we were able to attend the Denver Stock Show as a family. It was such a great day. Some family friends we hadn't seen since we blessed Walter were there and we really enjoyed spending time with them, and letting them see how big Walter is. The stock show is a huge deal that goes on for about three weeks. The last weekend is the Draft Horse show. They had all sorts of different competitions involving these horses. Our favorites were the 6 horses together, and then of course the pulling matches. Each day they do a different weight division, and Saturday was the middle-weight. Which was perfect because thats my favorite to watch. There are a ton of pictures on here that if you don't love Draft horses you probably won't appreciate the amount. These are on here for my Sister Jen. Hope you enjoy!

We had to park a little ways away and walk by the railroad track to get there, and Walter loved seeing the train this close.

Walter was so good, and were we sat he could lean against the wall and was just tall enough to see over and watch. I was surprised at how interested he was.

Thats 12 teams of 6 out in the arena at the same time for judging, it was an awesome sight. They turned off the music and let us enjoy the thunder of these wonderful animals!

There was a team from Afton in this division and a Palmer team I recognized from the Afton Pulls.

And a day like this wouldn't be complete without Walter trying cotton candy for the first time. As you can notice on his shirt he was soing some heavy teething. He still was so good, he just loved the whole atmosphere. We hope to make it a tradition for our family. And the best part of the day was knowing Jason had it off and not worrying about him getting called in!
