One-derful Walter!

As I look at this picture it brings tears to my eyes. It's only been a year but its already so hard to remember what this tiny baby felt like in my arms. It's easy to remember just how much i loved him though and how i never thought I could possibly love him any more than that. But amazingly every day I get with him I love him More and more..

And after only 1 year my heart feels like it could explode of love for this little boy. Oh what changes a year can make!

While Jason's family was here we had hoped to do a party, but it didn't work out with Jason's work schedule. So we celebrated a little with them and on the 24th Jason, Me, and Walter had a quiet party for him and we had so much fun!
While at my parents house we discovered that Walter loves pumpkin roll, so thats what we did for his birthday cake.

I didn't get to crazy decorating, but had a fun banner and a few fun things to make it feel like a special day for Walter!

Walter loved playing with the balloons! He is such an active one year old. He never stops! No he isn't walking yet and No he isn't far from it! He is gaining a whole new independence and it's so fun to watch him explore and reach new milestones daily. He says a few words, but his favorite is hands down "Dada" He will sit by the door and say it over and over. When ever he sees Jason he says it so excited! he can say Mama but not near as often and usually only in frustration! He is really starting to talk to us and just jabbers away! He brings so much love and adventure into this home. It has been a great year with this special little boy! today he weighed in at 22 lbs 6oz and 31 inches long. He still isnt quite over his rsv with a very bad cough that seems to be getting worse. He often coughs hard enough that he throws up, so we will be grateful when he is finally over it. We got the ok from the doctor to quit breathing treatments which was music to my ears. It is such a battle and Walter screams the whole 20 minutes. He seems to scream constantly right now and over everything, So needless to say I will be glad I no longer have to hold him in my lap and have that right in my ear 4 times a day!
